As backpackers, we absolutely loved the friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The upgraded suite on the second floor was a pleasant surprise, and the included meals were delicious. We enjoyed socializing with other guests in the common areas and the stunning views of the surrounding Taiga, Susitna River, and mountains made our stay even more memorable. The one well-marked hiking trail leading to a beautiful pond and scenic view of snow-capped mountains was a highlight as well.

Felt incredibly welcomed, no complaints whatsoever.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great company during my stay. They even upgraded my room upon arrival. I enjoyed chatting with Russ at the bar and hearing his Alaskan bear stories. Christine made an amazing egg and sausage breakfast. the staff was attentive and welcoming.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The cozy rooms were comfortable and clean, with shared bathrooms that were well-maintained. The friendly hosts provided excellent service, and the home-style meals were delicious. The lodge's location on the scenic Denali Highway offered breathtaking views of the valleys and mountains. The communal dining table and cozy lounge area added to the warm and inviting atmosphere. I also enjoyed the play structure and outdoor activities available for children.

The rental car restrictions for driving on the Denali Highway were a bit inconvenient.

We had an amazing stay at this rustic off the grid lodge on the Denali Highway. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the location was exceptional with breathtaking views of Taiga, the Susitna River, and the mountains. The room and food were exactly what we expected in a remote location, but the experience was worth it. The staff went above and beyond, even moving our luggage for us. We hope to return for a longer stay and enjoy more of what this wonderful place has to offer.

    Felt exceptional, no complaints whatsoever.

Felt incredibly relaxed and had no complaints at all.

The location of this lodge is truly unique, situated against the mountains and offering stunning views of the valley. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful decor. The hosts provide exceptional service, making guests feel like family from the moment they arrive. The food is well-prepared and plentiful, with a variety of options for all dietary preferences. There are also great facilities such as a sunroom and outdoor fire pit for guests to enjoy.

The lack of cell service and limited options for activities may be a downside for those seeking a more active or connected vacation experience.

The food was delicious, and the views from the hotel were exceptional. I loved being able to hike to a beautiful pond and enjoy the scenic snow-capped mountains. If you're a hunter or fisherman, this place is perfect. I got a great sense of what off-the-grid Alaska is like.

Couldn't find any faults at all.

The lodge is situated in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a serene lake. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing delicious meals and creating a warm atmosphere. Guests can enjoy hikes around the lake, taking in the breathtaking views.

The accommodations are subpar, with dirty cabins that have sealed windows and torn screens. The rooms are filled with dust and dirt, making it difficult to breathe.

The location was breathtaking, with picturesque views of valleys and mountains. The cozy suite I stayed in was comfortable and had its own private bathroom. The communal dining area and living room were welcoming spaces to relax and socialize. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the family-style meals were delicious. I also enjoyed the play structure outside for my kids and the opportunity to immerse myself in nature.

The only downside was the long drive time to other nearby attractions, which could be a dealbreaker for some travelers.
